My name is Denise and I’ve been a professional photographer since 1988.

Growing up, there were only ever two things I wanted to do in life, to be a mom and be a photographer. I win, I got both! But seriously, I knew in first grade that I wanted to be a photographer.

I love summer and flip flops, fancy dresses and high heels. I am a girly girl and can name just about every Miss America (in order!). But… I am also a tom-boy who LOVES football, baseball, Indy Cars and heavy metal (I’m a life long Cubs and Bears fan, I kiss the bricks at Indy every May and I’ve seen Metallica 16 times!). Despite the fact that most people call me crazy, I’m an avid runner and always training for something. If you see me out running in the early morning hours, make sure you honk and wave hi! I am married to my high school sweetheart and the mom of three amazing kids.

I’m not going to be cheesy and say that photography is my passion. It’s more than that. It’s a way of life for me. I firmly believe that God has blessed me many times over with the gift of photography and how he has made me to see things. I have a strong Christian faith and give Him all the glory for my abilities and blessings.

I see things differently than most, and I’m always looking for the perfect light. My family will tell you how every family vacation gets turned into our own private photo shoot (a fact that they don’t always enjoy). I like to have fun, and I like to laugh, so be prepared to have a great time during your session! I tell people all the time that I have the best job in the world, and I really believe that I do!
